Grid

Location inMenu: Workspace > Grid

The grid serves as a visual aid for locating, sizing, and moving objects. The G SEKE and Grid Snap enable precise object location using grid points. Grid tools can be accessed from the menu or the flyout icon on the Grid toolbar.

The Grid toolbar can be displayed by right-clicking in any blank toolbar area and selecting Grid. The grid itself can be a pattern of lines, crosses, or dots, dividing the drawing space into Cartesian or polar coordinates.

The option to display the grid is customizable, allowing users to decide whether or not to show it and how it should appear. Displaying rulers alongside the grid can provide a helpful orientation within the drawing. In 3D mode, the grid is displayed on the current workplane.

Grid properties are set up in the Grid and Advanced Grid pages of the Drawing Setup.
